On 01/31/22 at approximately 7:00 AM, Hamden Police officers responded to Alltown Fresh, 1941 Dixwell Avenue, on a reported theft. The investigation revealed that a customer had her cellphone and purse stolen from her vehicle, while she was pumping gas. The purse and cell phone were taken from the unlocked, passenger side of the vehicle. The suspects arrived and fled from the parking lot in a stolen vehicle. An attempt was later made to make fraudulent transactions on the victim’s bank account.
On 03/30/22, a 16-year-old juvenile from Hamden, was charged in connection with the investigation. He was charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Larceny 6th Degree and is scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court for Juvenile Matters on 04/12/22.
The investigation remains ongoing.
