On 09/15/21 at approximately 3:30 PM, the Hamden Police Department responded to an off campus residence on Whitney Avenue on the report of an unresponsive 20-year-old Quinnipiac student.
The Hamden Fire Department responded to the scene and rendered aid to the 20-year-old male who was later pronounced deceased at the scene. The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Farmington for an autopsy.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the untimely death appears to be an isolated incident and no foul play is suspected. The OCME is assisting with this investigation and will determine the cause and manner of death.
Detective Andrew Lipford of the Hamden Police Department Detective Division is conducting the investigation.
