On 09/11/21 at approximately 7:30 AM, Hamden Police responded to Mix Avenue of the report of a strong-arm street robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 72-year-old male was pushed down from behind as he was walking on Mix Avenue near Benham Street. The suspect robbed the victim of his personal belongings. The elderly victim sustained minor injuries during the robbery.
The suspect was described as a thin black male in his 20’s approximately 6’00” tall. The suspect reportedly fled in a blue SUV/wagon.
