On July 24, 2021, at approximately 5:00a.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Treadwell Street on the report of a motor vehicle accident.
Investigation revealed that a stolen motor vehicle, which was operated by Warren Wicks, struck a parked vehicle. Wicks and passenger, Montrel Rogers, were located at the scene. Wicks was in the possession of numerous drugs, including crack cocaine, heroin and ecstasy. The stolen vehicle sustained extensive damage.
Hamden Police arrested:
Warren Wicks, 19, of 382 Shelton Avenue, New Haven. He was charged with Larceny in the 2nd Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 2nd Degree, 2 counts of Possession of Narcotics, 2 counts of Possession of Narcotics with the Intent to Sell, Failure to Maintain Proper Lane and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License. He was detained on a $10,000.00 bond.
Montrel Rogers, 20, of 269 Portsea Street, New Haven. He was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 2nd Degree. He was detained on a $5,000.00 bond.
They are scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on September 10, 2021.
