On March 3, 2021 at approximately 1:30p.m. Officer Ronald Glifort observed a suspicious motor vehicle in the area of Pine Rock Avenue. A subsequent computer inquiry revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen.
The operator of the stolen vehicle attempted to elude police. The operator, a 17-year-old juvenile, lost control of the vehicle, drove up an embankment and struck a chain link fence. He was arrested by Officer Glifort after a foot pursuit.
The juvenile, a New Haven resident, was charged with Larceny in the 2nd Degree, Interfering with a Police Officer, Reckless Driving and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License. He is scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven on March 19th.
