On January 6, 2021 at approximately 9:30a.m. Hamden Police responded to a Waite Street residence on the report of an armed street robbery.
Investigation revealed that the homeowner and her four year-old daughter were entering their motor vehicle. An individual, described as a black male, twenty-five years of age, wearing a dark-colored ski mask, approached them. He pointed a firearm at her, while demanding her purse. She initially refused, however his further demand, resulted in her turning over her purse to him. He subsequently entered a silver, full-sized sedan, fleeing westbound on Waite Street.
