On September 8, 2020 at approximately 7:00p.m. Hamden Police responded to the Hamden Plaza, 2100 Dixwell Avenue on the report of an armed street robbery.
Investigation revealed that “3 or 4 teenaged males” approached a female, as she attempted to enter her motor vehicle. One of the males, described as “young” and “thin”, pointed a firearm at her, while demanding the keys to her vehicle. Another male then “pepper-sprayed” her in the eyes. She temporarily lost her vision. The males then stole her vehicle, described as a tan, 2013 BMW 328i. The victim’s wallet, which contained credit cards, was also stolen.
