On January 11th Hamden Police responded to the report of 2 street robberies.
The first street robbery occurred at the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Arch Street at approximately 2:30p.m. An 18 year-old victim was walking in the area, while monitoring his cell phone. He was approached by an individual, who he described as a black male, 20’s, thin build and braided hair. The individual “shoved” him, causing his cell phone to fall to the ground. The individual subsequently grabbed the cell phone and fled on foot, westbound on Arch Street.
The second street robbery occurred at the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and North Street at approximately 4:30p.m. The 17 year-old victim was standing at the bus stop, holding her cell phone. She was approached by 3 individuals, whom she described as black males with braids. One of the males “smacked” the cell phone out of her hand. He then grabbed the cell phone and fled on foot, westbound on North Street.
