This morning, at approximately 10:30a.m. Hamden Police responded to a Rockwood Road residence on the report of a “burglary in progress.”
Investigation revealed that the female homeowner arrived at her residence and observed an individual, described as a black male, short, stocky build, bald, wearing a blue tee shirt, black pants and carrying a backpack, cooking food in the microwave, while drinking a beverage from the refrigerator. She chased him “out the front door” towards Pine Rock Avenue.
Officers ascertained that he gained entry by cutting a window screen. Several items were stolen, including jewelry and electronics.
