On August 18, 2020 at approximately 11:30a.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Winchester Avenue and Newbury Street on the report of a “fight in progress.”
While conducting the investigation, officers ascertained that one of the participants in the disturbance, Tyron Dupree, was wanted on 4 outstanding arrest warrants. Dupree was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters.
Dupree, 24, of 118 Bryden Terrace, Hamden was charged with 2 counts of Failure to Appear in the 1st Degree (Felony) and 2 counts of Failure to Appear in the 2nd Degree. Dupree, who was detained on court-ordered bonds totaling $62,500.00 is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on October 14th.
Officer Derick Manning is continuing the investigation with regards to the fight.
