On July 23, 2020 Hamden Police responded to The Home Depot, 1873 Dixwell Avenue on the report of an attempted larceny.
Investigation revealed that an individual, described as a Hispanic male, thin build, wearing a white tee shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes exited the store with stolen power equipment, valued at $1,028.00. The individual was approached by a Loss Prevention Officer. He subsequently left the stolen merchandise behind, and fled from the area in a black Dodge Ram, 2500 Series.
