On October 18th and 19th Hamden Police responded to Snack Plus Deli, 75 Putnam Avenue. On both dates, officers ascertained that a burglary had occurred.
The investigations revealed that Felix Torres gained entry on both occasions by throwing a large rock through a plate glass window. Once inside, he stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.
Detective Mark Sheppard conducted the investigations, which led to the applications of 2 arrest warrants. The court approved the arrest warrant applications.
On January 8, 2020 Felix Torres was arrested at Meriden Superior Court. He was charged with 2 counts of Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Larceny in the 3rd Degree and Larceny in the 5th Degree. Torres, 47, of 1717 State Street, Hamden was detained on a court-ordered $75,000.00 bond.
