On December 13, 2019 at approximately 10:00p.m. Hamden Police responded to 190 Pine Rock Avenue on the report of a stabbing. Central Communications personnel advised responding officers that a security guard at the complex had been stabbed.
Investigation revealed that the security guard, a 51-year-old New Haven resident, observed a tall, thin black male “looking into a back window” of a condominium unit. Upon approaching the subject, a brief physical altercation ensued. The male then stabbed the security guard in his forearm. He subsequently fled northbound, through a wooded area. Hamden Fire Rescue rendered medical assistance to the victim. The victim was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.
