On September 4, 2019 at approximately 4:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to Rogers Road on the report of a robbery/carjacking.

Investigation revealed that a 56 year-old Hamden resident observed 2 females “attempting to flag cars down” in the area of Mather Street and Servoss Street. The female victim subsequently stopped her motor vehicle and asked the females if they needed assistance. The females asked the victim for a ride home.

The victim drove the females to a Rogers Road residence. One of the females exited the vehicle, while the second female remained seated. The female that remained inside of the vehicle grabbed the victim by the neck and restrained her. Both females then “pulled the victim out of the vehicle” and drove away. The victim was not injured.

Shortly thereafter, the stolen vehicle was located in the area of Quinnipiac Avenue in New Haven. It was unoccupied.

The female suspects are described as follows:

- Black female, early to mid-teens, tall, hair in a “bun.”
- Hispanic female, early to mid-teens, 5’, heavy build, short black hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Matthew Barbuto of the Hamden Police Department Detective Division at (203) 287-4807.
