12/6/2017 - 12/06/17- Robbery Arrest
On August 26th at approximately 8:15p.m. Hamden Police responded to Plato’s Closet, 2335 Dixwell Avenue on the report of a robbery with a knife.
Investigation revealed that an individual, who was later identified as George Lopez, entered the store wielding a knife. Lopez ordered the female clerk to open the cash register. He then stole an undisclosed amount of money.
Officer Paul Calamita conducted an extensive investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Lopez. The court approved the arrest warrant application.
On December 4th Hamden Police arrested Lopez at Meriden Superior Court. Lopez, 23, of 240 Tyler Street, East Haven was charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree. Lopez was detained on a court-ordered $100,000.00 bond. He was arraigned later in the day.
