On February 25, 2019 Hamden Police responded to the area of Worth Avenue and Centerbrook Road on the report of numerous larcenies from motor vehicles.
Investigation revealed that at least 4 vehicles were forcibly entered and that 1 vehicle was stolen. Numerous items were stolen, including money and jewelry. A witness reported observing “5 to 7 individuals” attempting to enter vehicles at approximately 3:30a.m.
Hamden Police would like to advise residents to take several precautions. Vehicles should be parked in an area that is illuminated. Vehicles should be locked at all times. It is extremely important to remove all valuables from inside of the vehicle, including small change. Residents are encouraged to contact the Hamden Police Department at (203) 230-4000 whenever suspicious activity is observed.
