On February 18, 2019 Hamden Police met with a 25 year-old Hamden resident regarding an attempted armed street robbery.

The victim stated that at approximately 11:45p.m. on February 17th she was walking to her motor vehicle after making a purchase at Krauszer’s, 36 Fairview Avenue. The victim related that an individual, described as a black male, 6’0, thin build, wearing dark clothing and white mask attempted to forcibly enter her vehicle. He then “began lifting up his sweatshirt showing his waistband area.” The victim believes that she observed a firearm. The victim was able to flee from the area in her vehicle.
