12/4/2017 - 12/04/17- Untimely Death

On December 2nd at 6:15p.m. Hamden Police responded to the rear of a State Street address on the report of an unconscious person lying on the ground.

Hamden Fire Rescue responded to the scene and rendered medical assistance. The unconscious person, who was later identified as Robert Tyson, 40, of New Haven was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital. Tyson was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington conducted an autopsy on December 3rd. The Hamden Police Department is working collaboratively with the OCME in investigating this untimely death.

No foul play is suspected.

Detective Joseph Liguori of the Hamden Police Department Detective Division is conducting the investigation.
