On February 2, 2019 at approximately 3:30a.m. Hamden Police responded to a Dix Street address on the report of an aggravated assault.
Investigation revealed that Patricia Knotts was involved in a verbal dispute with her 55 year-old neighbor. The dispute escalated into a physical confrontation. Knotts struck the victim in the head with a bottle of steak sauce. The victim, who was bleeding profusely, was treated at the scene by Hamden Fire Rescue. She was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.
Hamden Police arrested Patricia Knotts, 56, of 32 Dix Street, Hamden. She was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree. Knotts, who was detained on a $1,500.00 bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on February 19, 2019.
