On October 9, 2018 Hamden Police responded to “Shell Food Mart/Gas Station”, 3050 Whitney Avenue on the report of a commercial burglary.
Investigation revealed that forced entry was gained through the front door. Once inside, cash drawers were “rummaged through.” The owner reported that “small change” was stolen.
Detective Sean Dolan conducted the investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Andre Williams. The court approved the arrest warrant application.
On January 16, 2019 Officer William May conducted a motor vehicle stop in the vicinity of Dixwell Avenue and North Street. The operator of the vehicle, Williams, was promptly arrested on the strength of the arrest warrant.
Hamden Police arrested Andre Williams, 19, of 114 Cedar Hill Avenue, New Haven. He was charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree. Williams, who was detained on a court-ordered $15,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on January 31st.
