On December 3, 2018 at approximately 6:00p.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Whitney Avenue and Walden Street on the report of an armed street robbery.
Investigation revealed that a 35 year-old Hamden resident was approached by an individual, while walking northbound on Whitney Avenue. The individual, who was described as a Hispanic or light-skinned male, 20’s, 5’10”, thin build, demanded the victim’s belongings, while brandishing a firearm. He subsequently stole the victim’s cellular telephone. He was last observed running southbound on Whitney Avenue and then entering a sports utility vehicle.
