On December 12th, 2022, at approximately 1230pm, Officer Michael White responded to the parking lot of Panera Bread for a report of an Assault. The complainant stated that his son, a 12 year old male, was assaulted on Mix Avenue while he was walking home from his bus stop.

The investigation revealed that the victim was stopped in the driveway of his residence by a vehicle, possibly a Honda CRV, where six occupants exited and surrounded him. The victim stated one of the males put his hand in his pocket in an attempt to steal his cell phone, and when he resisted, the male began punching him in the face. The victim sustained injures to his face and chin, and his cell phone was ultimately stolen.

Later that evening, at approximately 6:30pm, Officer Brian Jackson responded to the parking lot of Walmart for a report of an attempted robbery. The 64 year old victim stated that as she was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot, a dark colored vehicle approached her. The victim stated that the suspect vehicle pulled up next to her and the male operator attempted to steal her purse by grabbing on to it. The victim stated that the operator of the vehicle held on to her purse, dragging her for a short distance. The suspect was unsuccessful at stealing her purse and the victim sustained injuries to her face and knee.
