On November 6th, 2022 at approximately 9:20 AM, Hamden Police Officers responded to the area of Whitney Avenue and Todd Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pick-up truck and a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, a 50 year-old Hamden resident, was treated on scene by Hamden Fire Rescue and was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured.
Whitney Avenue at Todd Street was closed for several hours while the Hamden Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team investigated. The road has since reopened.
