On October 27, 2022 at approximately 11:45 PM, Hamden Police Officers responded to Town Walk Drive for a reported carjacking.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the 21-year-old victim parked his car in a condominium parking lot and was exiting his vehicle. He was approached at gunpoint by three suspects that were wearing masks. They robbed him of his personal belongings and stole his vehicle.
The suspects left behind another stolen vehicle at the scene, which was recovered by Hamden Police. The victim was not injured during the carjacking. The victim’s vehicle was later recovered in Milford.
Detectives from the Hamden Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation into the carjacking and are following up on several leads. Anyone with information or video surveillance is asked to contact Detective Andrew Lipford at 203-230-4055 or alipford@hamdenpd.com.
