On September 30, 2022 at approximately 3:00 PM, Hamden Police Officers responded to Circular Avenue near Beacon Street on reports of a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. The driver in one of the vehicles was treated on scene by Hamden Fire Rescue and transported to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious injuries. The driver, Harry Brunson, age 76 of Hamden, later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Circular Avenue was closed for several hours while the Hamden Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team investigated. The road has since reopened.
