The Hamden Police Department is proud to announce the acquisition of a new crime-fighting, alert system tool. Tip 411 is a mobile app that allows community members to anonymously engage with the Hamden Police Department. Residents can share crime-tips, report suspicious activity and aid family members in reporting domestic abuse, drug abuse, bullying …..Tips received by the Hamden Police Department remain anonymous.
In addition, Tip 411 allows the Hamden Police Department to instantly notify residents about crime trends and crime alerts in their neighborhoods. Residents can receive notifications that include, suspect and motor vehicle descriptions. The sharing of information will greatly aid the Hamden Police Department in keeping our community safe. This is a tool that encourages residents to engage and share information with the department.
The free app can be downloaded to a smart phone or computer.
