On July 6, 2018 at approximately 8:15p.m. Hamden Police responded to a Beacon Street address on the report of a burglary in progress.

Investigation revealed that Christina Salgueiro entered a third floor apartment that was occupied by a 70 year-old woman and her 10 year-old grandson. Entry was gained through an unlocked front door.

Upon the arrival of Hamden Police, Salgueiro punched an officer several times in the head. In addition, she continuously spit blood and saliva at officers, striking an officer in the face. Salgueiro also kicked an officer in the face.

Hamden Police arrested Christina Salgueiro, 27, of 63 High Top Circle East, Hamden. She was charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Risk of Injury to a Minor, 3 counts of Assault of a Police Officer, Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree and Threatening in the 2nd Degree. Salgueiro, who was detained on a $50,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on July 23rd.
